The Rosary In Song

An Artistic Meditation on the Life, Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ

What is the Rosary in Song?

The Rosary in Song is a traveling meditational

What is the effect of the concert?

Due to the meditational nature of The Rosary in Song,  the performers originally requested that no applause be offered between pieces.  However, during the Glorious Mysteries, audiences could not help themselves and often jumped out of their seats to applaud the Ressurection or the Ascension.  This response in the audience was not for the performance, but the powerful efftect that great art has to remind us of the reality of the story of Christ.

Does the word "Rosary" make you think of old ladies holding beads and mumbling?

How does The Rosary in Song work?

The Rosary in Song is about an hour and a half long

with a ten minute intermission. Narrations announce and

describe each of the traditional fifteen mysteries, followed

by a dramatic presentation of one or two songs and

projected images of great works of art.

What kind of music is performed?

With the exception of the "Ave Maria"  most of the songs on

The Rosary in Song program will be totally new to audiences.

Songs range from early Renaissance to late Twentieth Century.  Though many of the songs are in English, some are also in German, French, Italian and Latin.  This "timeless" and "borderless" quality unites the concert spectators with all who have meditated on the mysteries of the Rosary throughout the ages.  Translations for all foreign language songs are provided.

“A spectacular performance!  Miss Nicolosi sings out the spirit of the Rosary in each piece.”

S. Nelson / Buffalo NY
